Check Provident Fund Balance by Miss Call and SMS
Every month your employer transfers some amount into your EPF along with the contribution you make from your compensation. This amount, when accumulated over months and years, is known as your EPF Balance.To Check Provident Fund Balance (PF) has become much easier now for the employees working in an Organization. Employee can check the PF balance anytime from home or from office by using any one of below methods:

1. Check by Miss Call
Give a missed call to 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number and you will receive an SMS providing your EPF (provident fund) details.
Your UAN should be integrated with your KYC details such as bank account, Aadhaar or PAN. If you are unable to do this, you can take the help of your Employer.
2. Check by SMS
To know the EPF(provident fund) balance through SMS, a precondition is that your UAN number is integrated with your KYC details such as bank account, Aadhaar or PAN. If you are unable to do this, you can take the help of your employer to do this. Once the UAN number is integrated with your KYC details, simply follow the below steps:

Type in your message box EPFOHO UAN ENG and Send an SMS to mobile number 7738299899
NOTE :ENG is the first three characters of the preferred language So, if you want to receive the message in Hindi, then type in EPFOHO UAN HIN. This facility is available in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali.

3. Check through M-SEWA App of EPFO
EPF (provident fund) balance can also be check by downloading the “m-sewa app of EPFO” from Google Play Store. Members can also check their passbook on this app. Below are the Steps:
Download the “m-sewa app of EPFO” app from Play Store.
On the home screen, click on Members.
After this, you have to activate your UAN by entering details like Establishment code, Extension, Employee Number, UAN and mobile number.
For balance/passbook, you have to enter your UAN and mobile number and click on Show. The details will appear on the screen. If you want to view your passbook, click on the passbook option displayed below.
The best thing about the EPFO app is that it is extremely easy to use and does not need details every time you want to check your EPF Balance. Members should note that the app shows the amount after the latest entry that has been reconciled by the EPFO field office.
4. Check through Umang App
Umang App can be easily downloaded from Google Play Store. Employees would now be able to view their PF balance on mobile phones with the help of Umang app. Umang app was launched by the government last year and provides access to various government services at one place.One can view EPF Passbook, raise claim and even track Claim using the app. To get started, you need to complete a one-time registration using your mobile number.
Umang App merges different government services like Aadhaar, gas booking, crop insurance, NPS, and EPF.
