LIC premium can also be paid through Paytm and Online

Life Insurance Corporation of India was created on 1st September 1956, with the objective of spreading the concept Life Insurance across India. From then to now LIC has crossed many milestones and has set unprecedented performance records in Life Insurance business.If paying your insurance premiums by directly visiting the branch has become a problem for you, you can take the online route now. The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has made a few online options available to its policyholders to pay premiums.


1. Through LIC's website for Registered User:

Registered users have username and password details to login into LIC website

1. Visit www.licindia.in and click on 'Pay Premium online' from the 'Online Services portal' available on left hand side.

2. Click on 'Pay Premium Online' option which will take you to a page containing two options namely 'Through Customer Portal' and 'Pay Direct Without Login'

3. Provide details such as - Select Role,'UserID/ Email/Mobile', Password and Date of Birth and then click on Sign In button.

4. Once you enter the above online services portal, you will be able to view the enrolled policies. For more information, please click on the policy number. Then a page with complete information appears

5. Select the policies which you want to pay premium and click on the submit button. It will be landing to the payment gateway site where you will be making the payment. Once payment is done, you will be returned to the same web page.

Initially, there was no provision to pay the LIC premium using the credit card. But recently LIC has provided an option to pay Online Payment of LIC Premium by credit card too.



2. Through LIC's website for Non Registered User:

1. Visit www.licindia.in and click on 'Pay Premium online' from the 'Online Services portal' available on left hand side.

2. Click on 'Pay Premium Online' option which will take you to a page containing two options namely 'Through Customer Portal' and 'Pay Direct Without Login'

3. Click on 'Pay Direct Without Login' and after that select option such as 'Renewal Premium/Revival' and Click on Proceed button displayed below.


Non Registered user

4. Fill details such as Policy number, date of birth, mobile number, installment amount, email id, captcha and click on I agree below and then click on Submit button

5. Once you enter these details you will be redirected to the payment page, where you can pay the premium amount as per your convenience.

6. Therefore, on successful payment, a digitally signed LIC Online Premium Payment Receipt will be mailed to your email id. Keep it as proof of your payment.

Note: Contact Your service branch Manager, And Registered your polices no. Very first time at branch level and than you get assess point and password for login LIC online and the easily you get premium paid Receipt.



3. Through Paytm App or website:

1. Visit https://paytm.com/insurance-premium-payment/lic-of-india and provide your Policy Number as mentioned below:

3. Provide the payment details and do the payment for the same.


4. LIC Offline Payment:

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has implemented a service comprising of an electronic payment gateway known as National Automated Clearing House (NACH). NACH will soon replace the existing ECS created by the RBI. Under the NACH system, mandate forms are to be submitted to the respective branch of LIC for premium payment.

Below are the 2 banks which are authorized by LIC to collect premium payments offline:
1. Axis Bank
2. Corporation Bank
This facility is absolutely free for all customers. The customer has to register his policies through the respective bank website.


Important points to note while making payments

1. Provide correct and valid mobile number and email address.
2. The receipt will be mailed to your email address.
3. Online premium payment should be made by the policyholder himself. No third-party payment should be used.
4. If the premium amount is debited from your bank account but error page displayed, a receipt will be sent to your email address in three working days after receiving the confirmation from your bo_eps1@licindia.com
5. If Re-trying: First check whether your bank account/card is already debited/charged with the amount of earlier transaction. If debited/charged, do not pay again. Wait for the insurer to mail you the receipt within three days.
6. The online portal will accept the cards issued by the domestic banks. International banks cards will not be accepted.
